Boreal Praxis is an emergency management consultancy based in Ottawa and serving organizations across Canada. We operate on the conviction that resilience grows from the culture of an organization. We ground our strategies in human behaviour, helping leaders think clearly, act decisively, and command with empathy.

We believe emergency management is defined by the ability to make difficult choices that prioritize life, wellbeing, and dignity—and then importantly but secondarily, the continuity of operations. We help clients fortify these principles so that leaders can act with conviction and integrity.

We help small and large organizations in healthcare, government, and the private sector anticipate, withstand, and recover from emergencies. Our work spans the emergency management continuum, yet our process always begins with listening. Our name reflects these values: "Boreal" for the resilient strength of the north, and "Praxis" for wisdom in action.

Our beautiful space at 150 Elgin St is ideal for collaboration, conversation, and finding the spark. Parking, coffee, and snacks are included.
